At the probation service in Gothenburg, we are about 240 employees distributed across two offices, Probation Service Gothenburg Rosenlund and Probation Service Gothenburg Ullevi. Probation Service Gothenburg Rosenlund is located at Rosenlund Square, and Probation Service Gothenburg Ullevi is housed in the Kriminalvården building in the judicial center and shares premises with Gothenburg Detention Center.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a security officer at Probation Service Gothenburg, you have a central specialist function that works both operationally and strategically close to management functions and collaborates with staff groups and external actors. You are the go-to person for security-related questions and thus function as both an advisor and an expert.

The assignment consists of continuously quality assuring and developing the internal security work of the probation service, as well as the probation service's part in the government-wide initiative against organized crime and violent extremism. You will have an active role in internal processes, switching between operational tasks and long-term development work. In external collaboration, you may work closely with the police and other parts of the justice system to strengthen Kriminalvården's work in various ways. The assignment requires you to have strong integrity and good collaboration and communication skills.

The assignment includes identifying training and exercise needs in the security area, as well as educating and conducting exercises and security discussions with employees. Conducting risk and vulnerability analyses and providing support and advice to managers in conjunction with the existing security organization is also part of the assignment. It also includes exercising internal control and reporting to the relevant manager. As a security officer, you will also work on developing situational reports, analyses, routines, and instructions for security work. This is done according to laws, regulations, directives, and the security handbook, as well as preparing decision-making materials for managers in security matters. You are part of our work with the reporting system ISAP and responsible for information security and ensuring high physical-technical security at the two offices.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is passionate about complex security issues, analyzes and breaks down problems, and works to solve complicated and challenging tasks. You have a good ability to think strategically, handle a broad perspective on issues, and understand the long-term significance of matters and their further consequences, adapting your actions accordingly. You have good pedagogical skills and an understanding of how we best acquire knowledge, our different communication prerequisites, and the need to adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.

It is a great advantage if you appreciate a job that involves many cases running in parallel, as there may be a lot to do during periods. Rapid changes may occur in the assignment, and you have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You see the opportunities in changes while planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively. You set and maintain deadlines.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in the security field or other education combined with work experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant
• Work experience in qualified security work
• Very good computer skills
• The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

It is advantageous if you have:

• Work experience from Kriminalvården
• Knowledge of and work experience from the probation service
• Completed Kriminalvården's basic training with a passing result
• Experience collaborating with other authorities
• Experience planning and conducting security training and exercises
• Experience working with incident reporting systems
• Experience preparing reports, analyses, etc.
• Good pedagogical ability, great emphasis will be placed on how pedagogically and clearly you can express yourself
• Knowledge of and experience in practical work with Kriminalvården's security organization
• Authorization as an instructor in Kriminalvården's tactics and physical methods
• Training in and experience with staff work
• Good knowledge of information security
• Good knowledge of technical/physical security
• Good knowledge of continuity planning and/or civil preparedness
• Driver's license B
